Can I use this to store yeast harvested from a batch at bottling day? It has a rubber seal like swing top bottles. I really don't wanna buy a whole pack of mason jars for just 2 or 3

And how long is harvested yeast good in the fridge? Week or 2 or a few months? Thanks!

Yes, this jar should work just fine.

I don't know scientifically how long your harvested yeast will keep in your refrigerator, but I have successfully used yeast that was several months old. Just know that you will need to make a starter, especially as the yeast gets older.

Would this be underpitching in a 5 gallon batch of dog fish head IBA clone that should be around %8?

Thanks guys

I usually do 800-900mL's for anything up to 1.070 or so. It might be underpitching a little, but it'll work ime.
