Can I switch Yeasts?

Sure, why not. I'd rather do that then use the lager yeast at too high temps.
 
From the recipe description in your link "This kit includes a lager yeast that will also perform well if fermented at ale temperatures."

I'd still keep it as low as possible, but should be pretty clean if they have that as the opening line for the yeast.
 
This is America, you can do whatever you want. I would roll with the ale yeast and cold crash it and maybe add some biofin. It might turn out fantastic.
