O.k. I need some help putting together a reciepe. Don't have any cash but have what's left from 2011 downstairs.

I'm thinking a oaked IPA wheat just not sure where to start:

I have:

5 oz American oak

20# wheat
7# 2 row
1/2 # 40 crystal
1/2# 20 crystal
1/2 # Extra special

American Hefe yeast

1/2 oz Mag
5 oz centinial
1/2 oz Northern
1/2 oz chinook
1/2 oz goldings
1/2 oz nugget
1 oz Mt. Hood

Why not cut out the Wheat, Oak and Yeast. Pick up a cheap Dry yeast (from 2011 if you wish) and make an IPA. 7lbs of base with and additional 1.5 lbs of fermentables will give you a solid IPA base. I would even throw in a LBS of sugar to raise up the OG and dry out the beer a bit.

The Maganum, Chinook and Northen will be good bittering hops.Centinial & Mt. Hood are good in the middle of a boil. With more Centinial for the aroma.

Use the Wheat, oak and Hefe yeast to make an Oaked Hefe... You could use up your Golding and Nugget in that beer as well.
