Burner head with errant holes, safe?

Ordered some burner heads for my brew stand build, but when they arrived today, it looks like there was some misalignment when they were drilling out the holes. There's one place where the drilling went clear through, and several other divots where it was partially drilled.

My question is one of safety. I don't foresee any issues with one excess hole, but I thought it best to defer to the experts here!

Looks like they handed a drill motor to a blind man, spun him around three times, and stood back to watch the fun.

It's ugly, but I don't think it is dangerous. Worst case, you could tap that through hole and plug it with a set screw. Personally, I wouldn't bother.

I would check the backside of the burner given that workmanship just to make sure none punched through the backside.

Watch the color of the flame at that spot. The raised bosses around the holes helps get secondary oxygen to the flame. The one low/extra hole will not get as much oxygen and may also stave its neighbors as well. If it is not too yellow it should be fine. This is especially a problem if you brew indoors as it will increase the CO output.

Thanks for the advice. Didn't see any spots that plunged through, and will keep a close eye on the flame pattern!

Well, ordered two, and only one has the "bonus holes", fairly certain it was not intentional.
