I brewed up a milk stout last week. I pushed it pretty far in but not into the beer. I went to take a hydro sample today and I can't get the bung out. I even broke my airlock trying to use it as leverage to get it out. Thankfully I have a spare airlock. I tried to use a pair of sanitized needlenose pliers.

Any ideas?

I used a sanitized wire coat hanger, needle nose pliers and made a small hook.

Can you drill a small bit into the bung where its thick then grab it with a pliers and try to pull it out. Other than that, if you don't mind destroying it you can drill a big bit into the center to get better grip and probably get it out.

Thank y'all! I love this website. Problem solved in 5 minutes.
