Bulk grain mishap

I keep my 2-row brewers malt and my Pilsner malt in multiple 5 gallon labeled buckets. I recently filled new buckets with a sack of each and forgot to label them, now I can’t remember which is which. I can’t tell a difference between smell or taste of the grains. Any suggestions? It’s not a huge deal since I don’t mind swapping the two for most of my recipes but I’m planning an all Pils German Pilsner next week.

weigh out a few grams of each and mix with equal amounts of water and see which one is darker.
