So I already dissolved the DME in water and noticed my specialty grains have little bugs:confused: in them. Do I : A) scrap the whole batch cause the local store isnt open for two days or B) continue with no specialty grains.
Thanks for your help

I would use the grains but that is just me. If there are bugs in them there is a good chance the grains are old. The boil will kill anything but that is up to you if you want to drink bug beer.:drunk:

Wash 'em? Lettuces have bugs in them in the canary islands. It's no biggie.

You could always freeze them overnight if you want them dead too. It wouldn't bother me, the protein will probably have it fermenting faster.

Homebrewing is maybe the only hobby on earth where you are creating a consumable and bugs are perfectly acceptable per a majority of the room. Unless your hobby is bug-eating. F that, though. Beer is so much better.

When the great Charlie P said "relax don't worry have a homebrew" I don't think he meant to say " eh WTF, through em in the boil will kill em".
