Tonight was the smoothest bottling night ever, thanks to new bottle tree and improved bottling setup. Things couldn't have gone better.

Then I tip my bottling bucket to get every drop of beery goodness, and I see a dead mosquito stuck on the side of the bucket! I can only assume he's gone for a swim prior to his demise, probably from alcohol poisoning.

Anyway, has anyone else had a similar experience, and what do you do to prevent it? I suppose a lid with a hole is the way to go.

Sample tasted great, BTW - looking forward to drinking this batch. Maybe the bug helped!

I had a gnat fly into my wort before I covered it but there would be no way to see it after it flew in but I forged forward and the batch came out great. As long as it comes out good I would'nt be worried.
