I'm from St. Louis and have been on the brewery tour a number of times, but had always wondered about what exactly the "beer school" consisted of. It's a 45 minute program, $10, where they show off different Bud products. I just read an article in the local paper, and couldn't help but post when I saw this gem:
"It takes five ingredients to make beer," Justin (the master) began, holding up jars of grains and then passing them around. "Barley malt, which is 30 to 40 percent of the flavor; rice, hops, water and yeast."
Yes, ladies and gentlemen. You NEED rice! Didn't you know?
