Bubbles rising in carbonating bottles

I brewed a centennial blonde ale, Og 1.053, FG 1.012. Bottled after 2 weeks and 2 days in primary. 24 hours after I noticed some bottles had small bubbles rising to the top, but not all of them. All bottles sanitized the same way with FiveStar Saniclean. Batch primed to 2.5 vols of CO2 with 154g of table sugar (23.5l). I know you shouldn't see any outward signs of carbonation in the bottle and haven't before. Opened a bottle after 48 hours and it's already well carbonated and tastes fine.

I also posted some pictures in the post your infection thread but didn't get any responses. This is what it looked like in the primary before bottling. Do I have bottle bombs on my hand?

If that's same day you bottled, I don't think you were at terminal gravity. Still had some to go. Typically when I bottle, I have nearly zero bubbled on the surface. I'd consider drinking them quickly, at the very least checking them consistently for overcarbonated bottles, then fridge and drink up :)
 
Before you bottled, did you get stable SG readings 3 days in a row? What was your SG before and after primary fermentation?

I always do 4 weeks primary. If I were to try to turn a batch faster,. I'd use a hydrometer to tell me when fermentation was is complete.
 
I have never had any foam on a beer at 2+ weeks. Maybe some floating junk, but not foam. I would be concerned that you still had some fermentation happening.
As already asked, did you take gravity readings to determine it had finished.

If not be careful with those bottles.
 
Thanks for the replies. The fermenter was in the cellar for two weeks and the gravity had stabilized (checked over a couple of days). I then moved it to the house for a cleaner bottling environment. It sat there for a couple of days, but maybe the transfer and slightly higher temp started something up again. By that time, of course I had discovered that my hydrometer had a crack in it and tossed it. Didn't get around to buying a new one. Good that you don't see any signs if infections, I was worried about the white film-like stuff on the bubbles. Guess it's just yeast then.

The bottles are all in boxes out of harms way should they blow. I'll try my best to dispose of them quickly ;)
