I've downloaded the Bru'N Water spreadsheet along with the water report from our local water supplier. After inputting all the water report values into the spreadsheet, I get the "Water Report is unbalanced. The Cation and Anion totals should be within 0.5 meq/L of each other". The difference is about 3.02 and according to the spreadsheet, it claims I must have not entered some information correctly. Is this common to have a difference like that or am I indeed entering something incorrectly.

Thats a link to my county water report. I know its asking a lot, but if anyone that understands this more has a little time to enter my water report into their Bru'N Water to compare, I'd greatly appreciate it. I am really trying to learn water chemistry.

You must have entered the calcium and magnesium numbers 'as the ion' where it is clear, from the numbers themselves, not the way they are labeled in the report, that the are 'as CaCO3'. Put the data in that way and you should be OK.
