As many people do, I use a wallpaper tray (bought on amazon) to clean/sanitize my utensils, hoses, siphon, airlock etc. My neighbor used it today to bottle his bourbon barrel ale.

I didn't get it either. Are those bottle sanitized? storing bottles waiting to be bottled upright so crap can find it's way down into them?

The bottles were freshly sanitized not stored! Just like sanitizing and putting on a bottle tree! In the short time it takes to fill the bottles I don't think anything is going to hurt the bottles. Time will tell though.

I didn't mean actually "stored", my english sucks. Meant sort of "waiting in line after sanitizing, to be bottled". I just don't like the idea of keeping bottles upright after sanitation. Stuff can fall off your clothes when you lean over them, a fresh breeze carrying bugs or yeast etc. If you mill in the same room flour can still hang around, even attach to your clothes etc.

Your English is fine sir! I actually thought thats what you were driving at. Thanks for the tip! Never thought of that. I guess a lint free clean white cloth like maybe a sheet would be smart. As we both know it doest take much to spoil the brew or throw the taste off! I'm dealing with a Belgium ale right now that's a little on the yeast tasting side, but still very drinkable. I think I left it on the yeast in the secondary too long. Thanks for your input! Its something to really think about.

I just use a sanitizer pump-thingy and a fastrack-clone. A few pumps with the bottle and starsan is in it, then leave it to drain in the fastrack-thing.

Thank you! That's what I love about this sight! Many brewers more experienced than I that are thinking outside of the box! Cheers your way!

It's easier to jamb the bottle filler into the bucket and push the bottles into the filler. When I bottled, I did two at a time, like this. I put a second spigot on my bucket. Just a suggestion. That's a bottle tree on the left, holding the sanitized bottles, and the vinator on the top, full of starsan solution, and sanitized bottle caps.

Very nice idea... I've never even thought of any kind of setup like that! Then again... I'm really getting into kegging, but this last batch I kegged 3 gals. and bottled 2 gals. Does the bottle filler tube fit right over the spigot tube? I think I see a piece of flexible tubing with a hose clamp correct?
