Can anyone give some feedback on brewing with the Blichmann 55 gallon extension? Looking for the good, bad, and ugly...

Thanks...AndyDoc

Context is everything, and this after all is primarily a home brew site.

For a two-adult household, one batch with such a beast would represent a solid 25% of the yearly limit. And then there's the issue of managing fermentation, storage and dispensing systems with a humongous slug of beer.

And after all that, you're stuck with four recipes per annum.

So, no, I don't think you're going to find too much action on this topic here.
But I'd give the probrewer.com forum a shot...

Cheers!

very true...didn't really put that in the right thought. You know...new homebrewer already thinking big. thank you very much for replying...

I was looking at one of those extensions for my 14.5 gal fermenator. ...it boosts the capacity to 24 gal. I love my fermenator, but Honestly, I'm not crazy about the idea of that band clamp and seal holding my fermenter together ....and i'd be even less interested in having it hold my boil kettle together . (sorry JB)
