Hi all. Very new to brewing. I have my first batch going now which is a nut brown ale. I want to start a second batch soon. I want to try a pilsner but I don't know if they are diffucult like lagers are. Do pilsners have to be cold fermented?

Yep, pilsners are a variety of lager. Temperature aside, you may want to try something more forgiving for your second batch. A pils will reveal every little brewing flaw, and it takes some experience to make a good one.

What would you recommend? I do not have the ability to brew under temprature control yet, I don't have a spare fridge.

English and American ales are good beginner styles. So are cream ales, American wheats, and Scottish/Irish ales (except for a wee heavy). Stouts and porters can be good if you've got hard water. Brown ales are good, but you've just done one.

I'd stay away from anything that is either high alcohol or gets most of its flavor from yeast until you get your temp control figured out.

Hard to go wrong with IPA if you like them and the hop flavor is dominant and can cover up some mistakes. An amber ale like a fat tire is a good popular style too.
