Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows of a place where you can get beer recipes that are similar to like sam adams or dog fish head. I especially like the latter and its taste that all their beer has.

I haven't checked it out but there is a book called Clone Brews written by Tess and Mark Szamatulski available.

They also have a second book called Beer Captured. I highly recommend these books. Even if you don't brew their clone recipes exactly, they're excellent for getting a feel for different styles and how to brew them.

I have Clone Brews and it is a great way to get base recipes and for figuring out what you like to make modifications. For example, I discovered that 80% of the beer I like uses E.K. Goldings hops in one way or another (who knew) so now when I make my own recipes I can incorporate that knowledge.

check that out...

dogfish (http://www.austinhomebrew.com/product_info.php?cPath=178_452_43_253&products_id=2040)
sam adams (http://www.austinhomebrew.com/index.php?cPath=178_452_43_262)

You get a recipe sheet with the beer, so you can piece it together in the future or buy bulk if you want to make the kit again. I may buy a couple trois pistole kits in bulk quantities next time to get costs down.

If you end up getting liquid yeast, I suggest getting a couple #11 or #12 stoppers, a few extra air locks, and save some mason jars/spagetti sauce containers for yeast storage.

If you especially like DFH, I would highly recommend Extreme Brewing by Sam Calagione, the founder of Dogfish Head. There are a lot of great recipes, including the likes of 60 Minute IPA, Midas Touch and Raison D'Etre. The DFH recipes are the genuine recipes too.
