Brewing in MD

Just started brewing a couple months ago. Started because the PR of MD, (AKA PRM), raised taxes so high that I can't afford to buy beer. However, I found that my first batch tasted better then anything I could buy so now I'm really hooked. That's with only a single fermenter and the recipe kit that came with the kit, Amber Ale.

I do have a great resource though. One of my employee’s just go a degree in brewing and distilling. Pretty weird since I work for an electronics manufacture.

You want good, inexpensive beer in maryland? Oliver Ale's which brews out of the basement of The Pratt Street Ale house. Steve Jones the brew master will fill your kegs for you. A sixtel of their 6.5 abv Iron Man pale ale will cost you $37. The stronger 3 Lions brown ale (they say 7.5 abv but I think that's a underestimation) will cost you $44 for a sixtel.

I have both on tap at home.

Hey all Im a first time brewer from MD just got my kit on Christmas and loving the hobby already. My first batch is sitting in secondary because i just followed the directions with the kit. My next batch i will listen to just about everyone on this site and just let sit in Primary for 2 weeks. Thanks for the link to Brew Day.
