My dad has gotten out of the brewing hobby and has given his old equipment to me.. his loss my gain!
In return, I have promised to make him an IPA of his favorite style but need help picking out a kit!
I had one all picked out at northernbrewer.com, but unfortunately they will not ship to Canada
I only have two batches (from my LHBS) under my belt so far. The selection and ingredient quality is not the best at any LHBS stores I've found so I'm going online to look for an extract kit. No full boils until I get the experience/equipment.
austinhomebrew and morebeer.com both will ship to canada so any of their kits would work.
Now for his favorite style of IPA.
Lightly malted/colored
5-6ish % ABV
moderate to strongly hopped (moderate probably compared to the tastes of most beer drinkers on this site
Thanks for the tips! This forum has been awesome, I am hooked and looking forward to making some tasty beer!
*side note I am making a Scotch ale at the same time for myself..lightly hopped. Any tips on one of those would be great as well!
