Recently got back into home brewing again having a garage now and a enough space to brew getting all the equipment piece by piece takes time, one of the things I wanted to do was automate some functions like flow valves, pumps heating elements and temperature. I wanted to be able to display information on a screen as well as control from the same device like a touch screen. Why not a build a tablet app that can display and control from touch screen.
I'm using and Arduino to do control everything and also send and receive info to the app over Bluetooth. THE app is made with MIT's app inventor and very easy program to make apps in.

I'll be able to add buttons to the app that will send commands to the Arduino to control relays or valves, and down the road it will be able to take the displayed temp and control heating elements automatically like a oven.
I know lots of people like to do it the old school way, but I', hoping that I can use this keep track of temps and time to be able to repeat batches for consistency. But others like cool gizmos with bells and whistles so let me know what you think.
