This is my first batch of beer and it was the brewers best watermelon wheat beer. I followed all steps and sanitized like normal and have let it sit for 2 days, but it seems that fermenting has stopped even though directions says it should stop in another 2-4 days... so I'm worried something happened or is it just finished fermenting?

Has the airlock stopped bubbling? If that's what it is I wouldn't worry. I had a similar problem, though not with the watermelon wheat, everybody told me it was alright. It's still fermenting, it has just slowed down. Give it a couple weeks to let the yeast clean up the byproducts of fermentation.

It could be done. It could be a bad seal on the bucket/carboy. It could actually be a few other things.

My advice? Patiently wait a couple more weeks and if you have a hydrometer, take a gravity reading. That is the only way to know for sure.

What temperature did you ferment at? What was the O.G. of the beer? What yeast did you use? All of those things (and more) could affect your fermentation.

A relatively low gravity beer at a higher fermentation temperature could easily ferment out in 2 days.

Edited to add: And as @Dice_Boken says, even if it is done, you want to leave it alone for a couple of weeks in order to let the yeast continue to clean up after themselves.

It was 68 degrees Fahrenheit when I added the yeast, that's what the instructions told me, I'll let it sit for another week or two... thanks for the help
