Attention glass nerds, it's that time again! Be nice, first time running the show.
The Rules:
1.) 4 glass minimum.
- MUST be stemware including mini-snifters unless specifically stated on wants sheet of recipient. Any questions about qualifying glassware must be asked before shipment.
- Must be brewery/brewpub-related, with preference to locals, or target's "wants list."
2.) 6 glass maximum.
- Glasses 5-6 can be non-brewery, but still beer-related, e.g. beer bars, beer shops, etc.
- Non-stems and shaker pints are allowable if necessary for glasses 5-6, but not encouraged. (*Some people do not collect shakers, and if they specify this on their wants list, please honor that.)
3.) Two of the glasses must be related. I liked this idea from last round, so it's staying. 2 of the glasses you send to your target must be “related”. This could mean that they are from the same brewery, are the same glass from different breweries (e.g. tekus, Rastal Luttich, etc.), the same glass from different years (e.g. Darkness 2011 and 2012) or other thematic glasses, such as Duvel glasses, mini snifters, etc. Again any questions of qualifying glasses need to be asked prior to shipment.
4.) One piece of swag: swag is defined as brewery/beer-related apparel (shirt, hat, etc.), signs/tackers, tap handles, etc. This is generally an item in the $10-30 range (could be more, shouldn't be less).
- If target does not specify t-shirt size on the sign-up sheet, that means he/she prefers something other than a shirt (i.e. don't guess on shirt sizes).
5.) Three beers (or 2L of growlers) maximum.
-This is a new rule, previously it's been one growler limit, no matter the size.
- Please don't send more than 3 beers (any size bottle) or 2L of growlers in your box. If you want to send 2 32oz growlers, 2 750ml growlers, or 2 1L growlers, that is acceptable, but no more than 2L per box. If you choose to send growler(s) then please no bottles.
- At least one beer must be for #ProperGlassware
- Beers 2-3 do not have to be related to the glassware in your box.
6.) Other non-glass/beer extras are at sender's discretion (no minimum or maximum): coasters, bottle openers, koozies, stickers, misc.
Maximum of 40 participants.
Sign ups will be open until Sunday, June 29th.
Targets will be sent out around Thursday, July 4th.
Veterans from previous rounds will be given priority if more than 40 people wish to join.
Wants and gots list is mandatory. This BIF is not on BA, so links to BA are not acceptable.
Shipping deadline is Monday, August 18th, which should give everyone ample time to acquire enough ammo to demolish their target.
Please note if you are returning from the last round NOTE THIS ON THE SPREADSHEET, anyone from previous rounds who makes NO note ON THE SPREADSHEET by July 4th will be excluded, I don't really feel like parsing through this thread for participants. srynotsry.
