Brew in a bag (BIBA).....where can you get a good grain bag thats big enough?

I just discovered this and am anxious to give it a try. What can I use/where can I get a grain bag big enough???

Make one using voile material available at most fabric stores. The bag should be large enough to hold your kettle inside of it with the bag closed.

Another option is to have one made for you. I recently purchased a custom made bag from another member here (wilserbrewer) and I should be receiving it soon.

5 gal paint strainer bags form lowes, or find a LHBS that uses LD carson they make a huge bag 18x36 pillow case size

I just use the voile curtain. Didn't sew it into a bag. Yet. Maybe eventually.

I use the "Jumbo Coarse Nylon Bag" from AHS. It fits at 15.5 gallon keggle well. It says it holds 15 lbs of grain in the description, but I had 18 pounds of crushed grain in mine for a barley wine a few weeks ago.

In my opinion, the course nylon bag is not fine enough. +1000 on the voile. You can get voile panels at Wal-Mart (curtain area) for less than $5. Each small panel will make a single large bag. The large voile skirts will make a mess of bags.

Double & fold seam (like jeans) and double stitch for mega-strength.

He even tappers the bottom to get out of kegs easier.

I sewed mine out of Voile. Works great! I also have paired it with a stainless steel basket, which makes it infinitely easier to pull the grain to drain.

Thanks forth thoughts everyone. For <$7 that jumbo coarse nylon bag looks like a pretty simple solution. I'm excited to explore this option. If I'm going to commit the time, it will be nice to come out with 5 gallons when I'm finished. Now I need to find a reasonable pot large enough to hold all this goodness and I'll be ready to rock.

The bad thing about the square bags is if you ever brew with a with a keggle with lots of grain you may have trouble getting it out. The tapered design makes it easy.
