A friend was downsizing and gave me his 30gal mega pot, so i built a new mash tun and broke it in today with a dopplebock. Had some efficiency issues that i'll need to figure out. I expected 1.092 and got 1078. All in all it was a good day and i have 20 gallons of beer in the carboys.

Little man knows his job is to add the hops. He take it very seriously.

He helps empty the mash tun and run it to the compost too.

That grain crush was non existent which would account for the efficiency issues. I can see mostly whole kernels. Did the mash ever get wetter than what's in the pictures? Even when the kid was shoveling out, it looks like the grain never really got covered with water.
