A friend and I wanted to brew together but wanted something a little more interactive and collaborative so we came up with this:
Person 1- picks the color range
Person 2- picks base malt
Person 1- picks specialty malts
Person 2- picks hops
Person 1- picks yeast

Then we each built a recipe on our own. From there we combined/averaged/prioritized differences to have one recipe.

We’ll each brew 5 gallons of the agreed upon recipe together at one of our houses then ferment and keg separately.

I’m sharing because when we were trying to get ideas of a fun collaboration brew, there weren’t many floating around online that weren’t big brew club collaborations.

Does anyone have something similar to this that you’ve done with a brew buddy?

You could also each brew your own recipe then have some of your drinking buddies rate them in a blind tasting to add a little competition to the process. Of course, the real winners in that case would be the judges!😉
