Hi Guys,

I am quite new here, but in the past months I read lot and lot of threads, which made me feel confortable and inspired to build my own brewery. Thanks for everyone, for all tips, pictures, and for the administrators' support. I sure will upgrade my account to help HOME BREW TALK.

In the following posts, I will share with you guys, my equipments, the setup i choose, the build process, pictures of the fist brewday, the beer recipes, and whatever I understand interesting and related to brewering.

Please, feel free to help, criticize, or just comment.

One last thing, please, forgive my bad english!!!!

Beer Regards, Eduardo

Welcome, Eduardo! We're all looking forward to hearing more from you, and if you need any other advice, feel free to ask. (I promise I won't answer, since most of the time I'm wrong!)

Hahaha, thanks guys for the WELCOME. I will definitely search some bikinis girls to increase my posts...

In the meanwhile, let me show you where I am right now, about my setup:

This is what i am planing to do:

I decided to use two aluminium pans (pot) setup, recirculating the watter to maximize the sugar extraction. The old architect table has some reasons, first, I found it in an old factoring where I work (so it was for free), it has an amazing desing (I like very much those kind of things) and this can be easily bent, what will help me to avoid the pump (at least initially). I will send its photos soon.

About the Pans: I chose Aluminium ones because of the price. They cost me about U$ 150 each (some stainless steel would cost me 10 times more). Their size is 100 litters each (26 galons). Some pics:

About Femertor: I bought two polipropilane barrels, also for about 100 litters (26 galons). Each barrel has cost me about U$ 100. Check it:

Here is a detail about its top. I have asked the factoring to adjust two diferent entries, already thinking about airlock valve.

Look forward to seeing your progress.

My son was just in Brazil a couple weeks ago for the Zico Cup and came home with lots of pictures. Very beautiful down there.

do you have pictures of this teeter totter sort of thing? it reminds me of a morebeer tippy dump on crack. certainly looks interesting.

I'd imagine there's some sort of locking mechanism, maybe a keeper pin or something. definately curious to see pictures though cause there's going to be a fair amount of weight hanging off either side.

Hi all,

Yes, it has a locking mechanism. You lock/unlock pressing with your foot. It is made of Iron, i dont think 150kg will be a problem... But i will test it before over loading it with hot watter.

Beer Regard, Eduardo.

Nice work Eduardo. It seems you are going for something like a larger sized version of the Brutus 20 - but with the ability to do a gravity drain out of your boil kettle ?

How do you plan to recirculate without the use of a pump ? Or is the recirculation pump something you plan to add later?

Thanks... initialy, I´m going to recirculate it manually, but i do want to add a pump later... The price of the pump here is what made me wait a little bit, at least until I start using what i already bought.

The Gravity will help a lot ... thanks to Isaac Newton!!!

That table has a great patina on it. Any copper in it? Eduardo don't worry about your English. I would be willing to bet you have a better command of English than most of us have of Portuguese.

Hey.... sorry about the delay to update. It is a beautiful table.. no cooper at all!!!

I must say that i am thinking about making some changes on the project. And maybe the table idea will be retired!!!!! I say that because i am thinking to bypass the Boil Kattle, and use a conical fermenter as a boil kattle as well. See the post https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/conical-fermenter-eletrical-boil-kettle-191183/.

I will need to find a new usage for the table!

I will update some photos later on this week.

We already did 2 batches, 15 litter of witbier and 32 litters of a belgian pilsen (this one we will try over the next weekend).

Regards, Eduardo.

We have concluded our 200L equipments and did our first batch last weekend.

I will post some photos and the links for videos.

later on i will describe better our process, but please feel free to analise it!!!

Best regards, Eduardo.
