So I have been doin alot of research on the type of system id like to buy, I really like the three pot system but recently i have come across the Braumeister 20L and 50l system. Ive watched over 20 videos watching guys make brew. Seems pretty cool. I was wondering if any of you have used one and what are your personal feelings about it.
Any info would be amazing.

I have a 20L v2. I love it I could brew more with less effort. If price wasn't an deterrent u think everyone would have one.

Negatives: it runs on 220v and you can't use a step up transformer.

If it breaks or needs parts you gotta pray that speidal helps out because there will only be so much morebeer could do for you.

What do you want to know specifically?

A mate of mine has one and we brewed with it before. There is also a local homebrew collective brewing commercial batches with one. It is a really nice thing. Kind of a fancy brew in a bag system. The heating with temp control and circulation is very practical and easy to use. Makes different mash styles much easier. Generally it takes the hassle out of things allowing you to focus more on details. If I had the money I´d buy one myself.

Het there TheBigLebrewsk1. Im not sure what exactly i want to know. Im old school. Also work around beer as part of my job. I just want to up my flavor quota. I would like to be able to bottle some eventually to wholesale to the local pubs , but for now Im just hoping to bet my brew on and refine some standard recipies then start coming up with one of my own for the market.
Im thinking i need the 50l pot.

With the braumeister you do have precise temperature control for mashing sparging is almost irrelevant. I dump 2-3 quarts on top of my grain bed just to make up the volume and I get 75% mash eff. Like the other post said it really lets you think about the beer instead of the process.

I have been using the 20L BM for about a year and half now. Have made some great beer with it. One of the knocks it gets is it can't make a big beer, but I get around that by using some DME for extra SG. Brew day is simple, you only have one vessel to clean, and foot print required is small.

Drop me a line if you have any other specific questions.

i hope they ship to canada, soulds like the ticket i need. Makes it a bit more simple, takes alot of the guess work ou. Some of the 3 pot videos i watched looked confusing, hose here plug it there, a few of them kept making thier own mistakes on thier own pots , so tells me its definatly a bit tricky.
I definatly want to spend the time creating a really awesome repeatable recipe to have my virgin beer out to market.

What's the largest grain bill you've been able to fit in the 20L?

Teromous -

I have done 15lbs with no problems. My last one was 16 lbs but 1lb of that was rice hulls.

Anything over that I add DME to bump up the SG where needed.

Where in Canada are you able to wholesale directly to pubs? Might wanna check that out first.
