I'm posting this thread to tract my first experience with aging beer in a bourbon barrel. We're trying to decide between a few options and I'm open to suggestions. We plan to make 11 5 gallon batches in 11 separate primary fermenters for a week and then transfer everything to the barrel for 6 months.
We're thinking;
North Cost Brewery Old Rasputin
Arrogant Bastard Ale
Our own coffee stout recipe
Our own nut brown
Gary's 90 shilling from Northern Brewer.
We plan to do an all grain recipe.
Any suggestions or experiences?
