Bought my first kegerator

I bought a used one that is similar. The Danby's are known to have horrible thermostats that don't last. Mine doesn't work and I am building a temp control unit to bypass the built in thermostat. Other than that, they are nice units.

The description says it includes a CO2 tank. Is it full? Did it come w/ a regulator? You'll need a regulator for the tank and a secondary regulator to control the pressure to your keg. You'll also need gas & fluid lines plus ball lock connectors for each (they are different).
Good luck & enjoy kegging.

Other than what you listed you will need another ball lock keg (trust me), as well as the appropriate disconnects and gas/liquid lines, and a regulator for your CO2 tank.

I guess this one comes with a dual regulator and an empty tank that I need to go get filled. But thank you i'm very excited!

Liquid and gas lines included? If so, aside from beer and CO2, you seem set.

I think these generally come with Sanke taps, so you'll either need to buy an adapter or cut off the Sanke coupler and replace it with a liquid coupler.

any recommendations on which is the better way?

Well, if you cut off the Sanke connector, you probably void the warranty. OTOH, adding an adapter adds to the complexity and provides another opportunity for leaking and something else to clean.

Note that I have no personal experience on these, just reiterating what I've heard / read. And common sense. :)

I'm thinking of putting this on my Christmas list. I don't keg, yet, and won't until I get a keezer/kegorator that I also plan to use as a fermentation chamber.

Will this make a good fermentation chamber, assuming I also get an external thermostat?

And if I get this should I just start with a sanke kegging system instead of cornies or ball locks, so that I don't need the adaptor? Any downside to that, other than cost?

I use mine as a fermentation chamber. I removed the Sanke connections for my ball lock kegs, but I can always put them back.
