Bottling wand + CO2 transfer from fermenter = problems?

I have an IPA in my carboy that is a good deal over target volume. I was thinking of filling a few bottles as a result. In the interest of minimizing O2 exposure, I'll be racking the beer using a carboy cap + CO2. I did a search but was hitting a lot of not-quite-related threads due to my search terms. Will a bottling wand be able to cope / work as usual with the minimal amount of pressure used to push the beer, or am I in for a bit of a mess?
