bottling- priming sugar to beer vol ratio linear?

I bottled 3.5 gallons last night because I withdrew 1.5g of my batch first with no priming sugar for a mini-keg force carb experiment...

I assumed the relationship is linear... so instead of using 4.5oz of corn sugar I used 3.15oz in the bottling bucket... I hope this is correct? anyone tried this before?

yes the ratio is constant and so as long as you apply the formula based on the volume it will work out the same.
