Hello;
So I am making a whiskey oak stout, and tonight I plan on transferring it into a secondary to age on the oak chips. However, to make things more complicated I would like to bottle a 6 pack, just to see how it changes during the aging.
What would be the best way to do this? I am personally leaning towards priming the entire batch, bottling the 6, then transferring to secondary. Would the priming sugar effect the oak absorption, I know you shouldn't put the oak in during primary fermentation, but I figure the small amount of priming sugar should be okay, correct?
Thanks!
Sean
