I was just getting started bottling tonight when the power went out. I had already boiled the priming sugar, but luckily hadn't started racking to my bottling bucket yet. My question is can I still used this priming sugar? It is still in the pot, and after it cooled I just covered it with saran wrap. Maybe I can boil it for 5 more minutes tomorrow and still use it? I don't have any more laying around.

As stated above... just boil again to ensure that no nasties have latched onto your priming sugar.

I was just thinking that I would have been grateful to have already planned a non-power-requiring passtime for the evening.

+1 on booddoggie and Lama's answers. I would have cranked up the generator, unplugged the TV and made the rest of the family help just to keep them from being bored!!!
