It's probably easiest to use those "carb tabs". They come in tablets, and you use like two for a 12 ounce bottle, 4 for a 22 ounce bottle, etc. (Check the "dosage"- it's been a long time since I've used those!)
 
My LHBS is almost 40 miles away so I believe around .8 of an ounce will do me justice. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

A little less than a tsp of table sugar will work for each bottle.
