Hello All,

After doing only a couple of opened bottles of a second batchof (12 ounce) brews i am seeing a good 1/8th inch of sediment in bottom of bottles. Of course have read this is to be expected. Seen a youtube were someone had devised something that gets your bottled brew completely away from this.
Is an 1/8" of sediment in 12 oz bottles about normal?

Thanks.

Yep, normal....for me anyways.

It's only normal if you're bottling your beers very soon after brewing them. If you give them a few weeks to let yeast finish up, and drop out, you'll still have enough yeast in suspension for bottle conditioning, but will have less yeast overall in the bottle.

If the large amount of sediment bothers you, let the beer stay in the fermenter longer, and rack carefully.

It's not normal for me because trub is something I try very hard to keep out of the bottles.

Once tried bottling from fermenter bucket, stired up the trub by accident, and had what you had.

Usually I have none
