Bottle Sanitizer a.k.a. Sulphiter Question?

I just got a new Bottle Sanitizer Sulphiter. I took it out of the box and noticed that on the underside of the reservoir tank in the middle there is a jagged piece that protrudes from the bottom.

Is this supposed to look like that or does mine have a broken piece?

Its just a remnant from the manufacturing process, that 'broken' piece was probably where they injected the plastic into the mold. You could try to remove it with some skillful utility knife action but if you use the stand that/bottle tree adapter you will never see it.

But getting to you question, it serves no use, so you can just ignore it.

I thought that was the thingamajig for the plunger spring. Mine is like that too.
