Anyone have any tips or advice on cleaning a bunch of recycled bottles for the first time.

My plan was to let them soak a batch of PBW for a few hours. Then take a bottle brush to them. Followed by a rinse out. I'd follow that up with a star san soak just prior to bottling.

Good plan, that is what many of us do. I like to start off with hot water and let the bottles soak overnight for convenience.

Looks like a good plan. For tough ones I use ~1/2 teaspoon dry dishwasher soap in each bottle & fill with a couple inches of very hot water. Let them soak, hit with the bottle brush, rinse well & starsan. Pretty much what you described. Cheers!!!

Sounds good to me! A few good soaks and scrubs is usually all that you need. I need to muster up some energy to scrub down the bottles I got.
