Yeah I'm interested in how other states write their laws to allow minors pictured on a label but still outlaw advertising to minors. The NH Liquor Commission is predictably opposed to this regulation change due to wanting a "bright line standard" aka we don't want the liability for having to make exceptions/judgement calls.

Hello Bostonians, my friend Alex won a chance to buy a bottle of beer from Hill Farmstead on Wednesday February 4th. Anyone on here interested in a day trip? Send me a PM please if you have any interest. He has a car, but he isn't that interested in going alone.

JA starting a dry hop war? From Twitter:

@JacksAbby: Today we are releasing our Triple Dry Hopped Hoponius Union. This is a small brewery only release available in 32 and 64 oz growlers.

Who will quadruple hop in response? Trillium? night shift?

I think it's going to be a dark horse. Someone with not much to lose but a lot to gain from the notoriety. My money's on Brewmaster Jack.

All of their beer has dropped off a cliff in my experience. Used to buy Jabby Brau as a good introductory beer to non-craft drinkers but recently I've been getting a weird smokiness out of it. I stopped buying JA completely.

I'm going to be in Boston 2/13-2/15 to coach a high school diving state meet and have all of Saturday afternoon off before I have to be back on deck mid-afternoon Sunday. Trillium will obviously be hit, and my friend's want me to go to Harpoon, but are there any other breweries/ bars I should stop in at whilst I'm around? Also willing to meet some TBers for a pint!

You should check out Row 34 after Trillium. Literally right next door, great taplist and awesome food. And I'd personally skip Harpoon and do Meadhall, CBC, Stoddard's, Publick House or pretty much anything else instead.

If you're by Meadhall and CBC, Lord Hobo is a must. It's the best of the three, typically.

I mean I would skip Harpoon as well, but all my friends are stoked on their renovated bar/ restaurant and want me to check it out with them, so I will most likely be going on their dime. Thanks for the other suggestions! Row 34 for sure, just hoping for no wild Koch sightings

I think were approaching critical hop mass and may be jumping the shark with hop addition. The Hop Oil beer from Sierra Nevada and Triple hopped whatever from JA.

HEY FUCKOS, you like hops?! WELL YOURE GONNA LOVE HOPS! HOPS IN YOUR STOUTS, HOPS IN YOUR, SOAP, HOPS EVERYWHERE!

How about a beer that's not even beer, it's just hops!

I actually use Heady Topper Soap on my body....... Yes there is such a thing.

You can only fit so many blades on a razor, but you could theoretically dry-hop to infinity, right?

The beer will be dry-hopped for the nth time before it is and as it's being poured into your glass. Then someone from the brewery comes over and dry hops it while you're drinking it.

My friend once plucked a hop from a bine at Founders and dropped it in his kegged-that-day Double Trouble. It didn't add anything but holy hell was it fresh!
