How was last night at Meadhall, any of you guys go?

Also Supreme is putting a single bottle of something from the Van Winkle family out tomorrow and another on Sunday and whoever asks about it first once it's in the case gets the chance to buy it. I asked last week and got the response "we're only getting a few bottles. And there's a list like a phone book but we're hooking up loyal customers first and you're in here all the time so you definitely would have gotten one. Make sure you sign up early next year and you should be all set." Damn it.

Woke up to multiple haul pics from Trillium. The people who have the money to drop hundreds of dollars on beer 2 days before Christmas make me angry. Mostly out of jealousy.

I want more Mettle :(

PM Dawn sounds great, anyone had it yet? Wish I could have stocked up on more Coffee P&K, loved that one.

I've heard several people say it's the best dark beer they've made. I'm hoping to have my girlfriend snag me some tomorrow.

Will be heading over after work. Sounds like they have had extra retail staff on hand today to keep things moving...hope that's the case!

PM dawn ended up being really good - way better than P&K and double variant. Sort of approaching the level of Earl but not as coffee milkshake-like.

Agreed. Pretty good stuff. Kind of tasted like Abyss Lite to me a little bit...

Oh sure, Meadhall, put Currant Affair on and don't tell anyone. **** you! I would have been there 2 hours ago. SO HEATED RIGHT NOW

Currant affair on deck at publick house right now but the bartender said it's very unlikely it goes on tonight

Any of you guys know anything about Trillium brewing stuff up at Ipswich?

Obviously personal preference but I really didn't like Weller 12. Aggressively oaky. Lot B seemed way way way WAY better, easily able to distinguish them blind. Antique is still maybe my favorite wheater even remotely available. Might even prefer it to Lot B, although I like 15 and WLW more.

I had one bottle of 12 last year and liked it but I didn't have any kind of palate for whiskey yet so I'm curious to give it another go. I have 1 antique left so im gonna use half for a poor man's blend and see how that goes. The 90proof was my everyday but there's a drought right now. Couldn't beat it for $19 a bottle at blanchards

Off topic but anybody going to Oxbow for the pond hockey tourney? Thinking of taking the drive up for the day.

NH sucks, despite me being born and raised in the Live Free or Die state. It's not a great state for small business to operate in, and stupid rules like this hobble the beer industry. I've heard that states with a Budweiser facility really have difficulty bringing in other beers, or having breweries open. Things are changing in the Granite State, but it's more than a leg or two behind Maine and Vermont. Maybe some day we'll have nice things...

Again...why do I live in New England???

I ask myself the same thing every winter. We do have some good stuff here though and for a sports fan it's the ****. NH comparing a baby eating oatmeal to Joe Camel was a good laugh though.
