Wow, that seems like a lot of people for a weekday release. Or am i underestimating the Boston beer scene?
I thought it was a lot as well, but I underestimated the beer scene as well I suppose.

My girlfriend went and got scared away/coiuldn't waint in the line due to work. Damn. Had hoped it might've dissipated/gone quick with no growlers.

I got there at 11, was 30th or so in line. Was out by 1115, went pretty quick. They were selling shelf bottles as well which slowed it down a bit. But yeah I was surprised how many people. They have enough for 270 though so the proper play might be to go around 3 probably no line.

Didn't they start selling at 12?

Yeah they sold out 30 minutes ago while I was there, luckily made it just in time. They said the release Thurs should be similar but with a little bit higher bottle count since they didn't have to use quite as many hops.

Ugh, will have to check here and twitter nonstop to see if I should run into Boston after work today

Re: Trillium, I heard it was a "longer line, but shorter wait" today. When I went an hour ago, nobody else was in there but he said 25 cases left.

Was just there, only one other person, in and out within 2 minutes, looked like they still had a decent amount left. Will definitely last a little longer then Heavy Mettle did.

I have to ask if I'm the only one here but do you guys find a huge difference between the taste of each vessel from Night Shift? The first time it was really noticeable was this last batch of Grove. The batch got brewed and in the tasting room it was good, I had it a couple times and enjoyed it but the bottles that got sent to the stores I've tasted 2 and they were terrible. I'm a fan of Whirlpool but now this batch in the cans I think tastes better than the pours and growlers from the brewery and I'm plowing through them but the first canning with Marblehead I thought was ok at the brewery but awful in the cans. Why do all their beers taste different depending on where you have em? The bottling/canning line can't have that much influence over the flavor can it? (<-- pun. nailed it.)

From BA reviews, yes. Yes, it is. 4.78 over 32 ratings. I didn't have it, but the DDH Congress St. was world class. I haven't had regular Congress St. in long enough to compare them, but it is one of my favorite beers so grain of salt that compliment (unless you agree)!
I haven't had regular Congress St in a while either so it's hard to remember the differences. I'm not even mad tho 2xDH Congress is so good.

It's a bit premature, but I'm looking at a October/November trip up to Boston, with 2ndary plans to hit up Hill Farmstead (probably a Saturday). I'd love to meet up some of you for a drink or something.

And I may actually make a 2nd trip up there for Labor Day Weekend (is HF closed that week?)

tehzachatak would be cool to meet you.

PM me or reply to this post if you want to meet up, or I'd even be down for an IP trade!
Just saw this but down for trades/drinking. Let me know.

I'm in town for work. Heading over to Trillium in a few for the bottle release. Staying west of town, so I'll be there around 4. Plan on drinking there, and then rolling to Lord Hobo if anyone wants to grab a beer or 666.

Lineage Wheat was really bland and boring on tap. Anyone try Rye yet? I remember the last batch being alright.

Feels weird seeing Deep Ellum/Lone Star on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives.
