Anyone try the Jack's Abby Berliner Lager or Notch Berliner yet?

No. Going in search tomorrow

Both were at Fort Point Market yesterday.

Had the JA Berliner. It was very solid. The sort of thing that doesn't make much sense in a $5 500ml, but would sell like hot cakes if it was bottled/canned in line with their regular pricing.

Will try Notch soon. The Left of the Dial IPA was a pleasant surprise for me recently.

Trillium is filling growlers of the new IPA made for the Publick House.

So far, that's two IPA collabs, an annual IPA festival and ironically they do not host Zwanze day. Best Belgian beer bar in Boston!

Is it good?

Literally just picked them up there myself. Chilling now, thoughts will follow. Just made homemade raspberry and rhubarb syrups that they'll get dosed with too.
I think I'm down with Notch on this one. JA's lager yeast stuck out the most in theirs. Notch had a cleaner flavor and was a little more tart. It might be best for the syrups.

Drank the JA one, haven't had Notch yet. I agree, the JA one had very clear lager yeast presence. I'm sure it was completely intentional, and it's cool, but definitely a bit different than I expected. The rhubarb syrup didn't really do anything, too much going on for it to stick out, rhubarb's subtle. Was great with raspberry though! Cracking notch now.

Notch definitely more tart. Not sure I agree it has a "cleaner" flavor, I get like a banana thing going on, not at all unpleasant though. Works waaaaay better with the rhubarb syrup, dope as hell. Not as good as the JA with the raspberry syrup.

Would absolutely buy Notch again, not sure I will buy the JA in this format/price point again. If they put that in $10 six packs though I would buy the **** out of it.

Still on the website so I hope so. My girlfriend picked Row 34 for our anniversary dinner on Sunday, so I'm praying it stays. NO ONE GO THERE.
I'm gonna go and finish it tomorrow. Sorrybro.

Had the Notch Thursday morning and really dig it. Super drinkable, it should probably be in a 6 pack format. I assume they'll get solid feedback so hopefully next batch.

And I'll be at row34 around 2pm today to drink all the gose, the race is on JCastle

You're aware they close at 2:30 right? And then re-open at 5.

I don't think they close, I think it's just a "mid-day menu" instead of the full lunch and dinner menus. I sat at the bar until 330-4 a couple weeks ago and no one said anything. There was a handful of others scattered around too. They might have just been being nice because I said I was waiting for a friend to get out of work?

Yeah you're right. My Google Now showed it as closed during those hours one time I went. Gonna go for lunch there today then.

Going to Row 34 today around 5:30. Plan on drinking as much GGW as possible and covertly pouring the rest into a growler under the table.

I'll be there around 3. Plan on drinking absurd amounts of GGW and filling Trillium growlers.

Here also, no ggw, dang. Good news is this Trillium Dry Stack 6 is the tits. So tasty, might just stick with this all day. Im on the corner of the bar reading the dig behind a guy in a Hawaiian shirt if you want to say hello
