If you put CBS on a pedestal you are gonna be disappointed. The food really is that good though.

I thought CBS fresh was really that good... but I also think KBS absolutely obliterates BCBS (like, not even same playing field), which many would disagree on.

Is the CBS going to be old? I thought a new batch comes out every year or 2.

Dunno. Has anyone ever confirmed that there are actually new batches kegged? Obviously there was only one bottle release to date, but I think people were claiming that the CBS keg at founders breakfast last year was "fresh". But Founders hasn't had it in their taproom AFAIK which makes that kind of hard to believe.

It was from bottles last year and will be from bottles this year. I think the last batch made was what made it in to the Back Stage Series bottles in 2011 I think it was. As far as I know there are no plans to brew it again anytime soon.

Cool, thanks. Could have sworn someone told me it was a keg last year.

Also, yeah CBS wasn't doing well when I had it about a year ago. It was good, just no maple at all, just some weird sweetness. I do love aged KBS though.

When I had the first keg only batch it was amazing. So much maple. Bottled versions have never matched the original.

Yeah I don't like old KBS... fresh to death.
I'm one of the few... Last one I had was at least 2-3 years old and the coffee faded a bit but it had a huuuge chocolate/brownie flavor come up. Really nice stuff. I know BobZ also likes it aged.

Not going to argue that one. Like a dunderhead I keep going back to BCBS when its available and keep not being enthused about it.
