Hello All:

While I have my second batch fermenting. I've been looking for technical books or a book on Brewing Yeast. The only one I can seem to find on amazon or any book store is "Yeast: A Practical guide..." by John Palmer.

However after reading some reviews I get mixed reviews that it's great and others saying it doesn't go into a whole lot of depth in the subjects.

Any recommendations? I'd be interested in brewing magazines as well as a good reading source, any particular mag name?

Get it. You won't be disappointed. It is very complete. I'm in the biology field, and I wouldn't hesitate on using this book in a intro. microbiology college course.

I'm reading the book right now, of you want more depth than what's in the book, then a PhD in micro biology is the next step :)
