If you can get a nice rolling boil inside, that's fine. Or on the turkey fryer- whichever you prefer. Many people can't get more than a couple of gallons to boil on their stove, so they use a turkey fryer.
The biggest issue with electric stoves is that some of them are "smart". They will not let the element get hot enough for a good rolling boil. My wife cans and the canning community does not recommend using electric stoves for this very reason.
I use a turkey fryer outside and it is great...clean-up is easier too outside with a hose..nobody cares where you are dripping
