Here was my recipe for an American light Lager.
3 ½ lbs John Bull American Lite Beer Kit
½ lbs extra light dry malt extract
¼ Oz Cascade hops for Aroma
American type- lager yeast
Since John Bull is no longer in business, I am going to use Briess Gold Unhopped Liquid Malt Extract, same amount of malt extract.
Since I did not use a hopped malt extract, I"m assuming I need some boiling hops.
I have 1 oz of Cascade Hops and 1 oz of Wallimater hops from a previos batch.
So here is my question, could I use 3/4 an oz of Cascade hops for boiling, then the last 1/4 for the aroma hops. Would this be enough? Any help would be great. Thanks.
