Looks kind of dark for a mild. Does it call for some c-120 or something?

I've been reading up on these and they are probably going to be one of my next efforts.

I read an article recently that talked about the evolution of milds and how they've been influenced over the centuries. It covered some brewery notes going way back. Inin the old days milds were anything but 'mild'. There were some seriously big beers, made from first runnings, and seasonal as I recall. The definition changed in 100 year steps into what it is today. I'll probably opt for the more contemporary definition. To be true to tradition, I'm going to have to pick up a bag of malt for them as the recommended stuff isn't something I've used in the past. I'm looking forward to trying one in the coming months.
