Blowoff question

I’ll have two five gallon carboys filled by this afternoon. Question I have is, can I just use 1 jug that’s filled with water to use as the airlock? Or should I have them separated? So, 2 blowoff hoses going into a single container.

2 into 1 container is fine.

Agreed it's fine. And you don't need duct tape on that jug either, won't function well if you end up actually sealing it.

I just lightly taped it down to hold the pvc in the water. The actual opening is not obscured.
