So a few weeks ago I brewed a batch of my new favorite, Summer Blonde, for a friend's 2-day party/tubing/barbeque event that is happening this weekend. I brought the keg over there tonight, and hardly anyone's there yet (maybe 8 people), but there were 3 who tried it who had never had homebrew before, and they would not shut up about it. I'm humble and all when it comes to brewing, but I really was happy to see non-beer-geeks go gonzo over my beer. They (women, all of them) actually asked me to explain the process, they were so amazed that someone other than a big micro could make good beer.

So here I am, talking about long chain dextrins and enzymes. Life o' the par-tay :D I just hope the keg lasts through tomorrow. We go tubing around noon, and I'm sure there will be blonde for breakfast. Might have to come back here and steal one of my own kegs...depending on how many people want beer rather than Evan Williams.

Funny how, after all this time, it's still cool to get some outside validation...

people love free beer....

Don't you hate when people say that?!

It is really cool to make beer that people really want to drink. Congrats!

I'm not sure I know this, but are you single? This might be your night to be the uber-stud that you know you are...

As you can tell, Chicks dig long chain dextrins :D

Glad people are enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Sorry Revvy, Evan's married :D

Dude, there's no way that keg makes it though the 20+ people that you're expecting. You should have made 10g!

It is a very good feeling when somebody enjoys your beer. My IPA went over very well with my beer loving friends. It is still one of my all-time favorite batches but I lost the final recipe...

:off: - Evan Williams is my favorite camping spirit. Inexpensive and actually pretty ******* good.
