So a few weeks ago I brewed a batch of my new favorite, Summer Blonde, for a friend's 2-day party/tubing/barbeque event that is happening this weekend. I brought the keg over there tonight, and hardly anyone's there yet (maybe 8 people), but there were 3 who tried it who had never had homebrew before, and they would not shut up about it. I'm humble and all when it comes to brewing, but I really was happy to see non-beer-geeks go gonzo over my beer. They (women, all of them) actually asked me to explain the process, they were so amazed that someone other than a big micro could make good beer.
So here I am, talking about long chain dextrins and enzymes. Life o' the par-tay
I just hope the keg lasts through tomorrow. We go tubing around noon, and I'm sure there will be blonde for breakfast. Might have to come back here and steal one of my own kegs...depending on how many people want beer rather than Evan Williams.
Funny how, after all this time, it's still cool to get some outside validation...
