Just bottled a batch of Wheat IPA. Some of the bottles I used I got from my basement which have been sitting there for tens of years. In one of the bottles (from the basement) I noticed a couple small splotches on the bottom of the bottle (about half the size of a penny) of black mold. In some of the other bottles there are small specs of black maybe dark green (bit bigger than a grain of sand) in the trub. The specs might be from a dry hopping i did a week before bottleing. I've been reading online but haven't really found much in the way of black mold and specs of black debris. Thinking A. Niger or a friend said something about Ergot. The brew smells fine and not all the bottles are indented. Any help would be very appreciated, I want to clear it up before I tasted it and it's killing me because it smells so delicious.
