Well, the title says it all. I am considering entering a Rye IIPA into a contest and I'm not sure what it would fall under. I've searched on the forums, but can't seem to find the answer. Would I need to enter this under section 23: specialty beer, assuming that with the rye I can't enter it under section 14C: imperial IPA? Thanks in advance!

Yes, assuming you can taste the rye character it ought to be a specialty. In fact Rye IPA is specifically listed as an example for category 23.

Ah, I do see it listed there...must have read right over it. Section 23 it is, thanks guys! This brew is still in the works but with 35% rye, it should have a definite rye character. I'm excited for this one!
