Hey, I was at the LHBS and I saw a full size ~15 gal sized sanke keg that was converted to have a corney lid and quick disconnects. She said that it was some company that was going out of business or something like that.....anyway they were selling it for like 250 and they only had one or two. I certainly cant afford it but I was wondering if anyone else has seen these? I thought it was pretty cool.

I think Yuri made at least one of these. Defiantly pretty sweet if you did 15 or even 10 gallon batches.

yeah I know it would make it way easier for large batches....but I am not capable of that yet :(. I think the lady at the store said the company was going out of business because the prices of stainless steel were going up a lot.

they are full of sh!t I did fabrication for years and you could build that from scratch at home and still save 200 or so dollars

Never made one, though I'm sure I could. I did convert a 5 gallon Corny to dual purpose Sanke/ball lock fittings. A 1/2 bbl keg like that would absolutely not cost $500 to make. $250 is a bit steep, but not really unfair, considering the welding skill involved.
