I always suspected we share a similar sense of humour. Your post just transported me back about 45 years to high-school...you remember how crowded the hallways got between classes... a great opportunity to have silly fun:
Do you remember those matchbook/masking tape 'firecrackers'?... You take a matchbook, pull the sleeve off the matches and turn it inside out with the striker-strip against the match-heads and wrap it in a few winds of masking tape, throw it and it bounces and then goes "POP!"... Well, I was never one to do anything half-assed, so I stacked 2 matchbooks with strikers on both sides of the match heads and a little extra tape just to get twice the POP....and then went overboard and lined up 3 match bundles deep, and 3 books wide and a lot of carefully applied tape to make a biggie. When the bell went and the hall was packed, I let off 2 of my doubles, keeping the huge one in my pocket... I saw a teacher staring straight at me through the crowd and I played it casual and kept walking but: Someone ploughed into me and my right pants pocket went up in flames and smoke! I still played it casual and kept walking while trying to press the flames out and burned my hand in doing so...saw the teacher laughing out of the corner of my eye and had to spend the rest of the day with my jacket tied around my waist pretending there wasn't a huge hole where my pocket had been and exposed burned flesh underneath. But hey: it was grade nine and a catholic school at that, so it was worth it. :p
